Privacy Policy

Your information matters to us. This Policy describes what data we process, for what purpose, and how we protect your privacy.

Last updated: September 29, 2026

We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data. Analytics, where used, is fully anonymous.

Introduction

At FynQ, your privacy is a priority. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and protect the information you provide to us when you use our App.

By using FynQ, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. We encourage you to read it carefully to understand how we handle your data.

Data we process

We collect only the information needed for the App to work: registration data (email address and name), and the financial transactions you choose to record (expenses, income, categories and notes).

We do not request or store sensitive banking information, such as account numbers, credit cards or login credentials for financial institutions.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, we store the status of your subscription: the plan, the period dates, whether it renews or has been cancelled, the channel through which you purchased it (Google Play, App Store or web), and the purchase or subscription identifiers provided to us by the store or by Stripe.

When the App crashes, a technical error report is generated (message, stack trace, device model, operating system version and App version) and linked to your internal user identifier. These reports do not include your email address, your name, your amounts or your notes.

Anonymous usage data (such as how often you use the App and which features you use most) may be collected to improve the product experience.

Purposes of processing

We use your information to operate the App properly, allow you to record and view your financial transactions, generate personalized metrics and continuously improve the user experience.

We may also use anonymous, aggregated data for internal analysis, development of new features and improvement of the App's performance.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

To operate the service, we work with a small number of providers that process data on our behalf, each with access only to what its role requires:

In-app payments: if you subscribe from the App on Android or iOS, the payment is processed by Google LLC (Google Play) or Apple Inc. (App Store) using the account and payment method you have with the store, in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not receive your card details or your store account details; only the purchase information (product, dates, renewal status and transaction identifiers).

RevenueCat, Inc. manages subscriptions purchased in the App: it receives your internal FynQ user identifier (not your name or email address) and the purchase data provided by the store, and it informs us of your subscription status.

Web payments: Stripe, Inc. processes payments and subscriptions purchased on the web version (it receives your email address and the transaction details; your card details are handled directly by Stripe and never reach our servers).

Google LLC handles sign-in with your Google account, and Apple Inc. handles Sign in with Apple, if you choose that option (with Apple we receive an identifier for your account and your email, which may be a private relay address if you choose to hide it). Resend, Inc. sends transactional emails: the account creation notice and password reset codes (it receives your email address and your name). Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) receives the technical error reports described in section 2, with your internal user identifier and no financial content. Anthropic, PBC generates the analyses described in section 5.

We may also share data when required by law or by a competent authority, or when necessary to protect our rights or the safety of our users.

Some of these providers operate servers outside your country of residence, including in the United States and the European Union. By using FynQ, you consent to this international transfer, subject to the contractual safeguards agreed with each provider.

We do not use advertising cookies, ad networks or third-party tracking SDKs within the App. Any analytics we use work exclusively with anonymous, aggregated data.

On this website (fynq.site), we use Google Analytics to measure visits only if you accept it in the cookie notice. If you decline, no analytics cookies are stored.

AI-powered analysis

The analyses FynQ generates about your finances (the monthly analysis and, on the Basic plan, the daily summary of the previous day) are produced with Claude, a language model by Anthropic, PBC. Anthropic does not use the data it receives through its API to train its models.

For the monthly analysis, we send only an aggregated summary of the month: total income and expenses per currency, the names of your four highest spending categories with their amounts, and the number of transactions in the period.

For the daily summary, we send the previous day's income and expenses (type, category, currency and amount of each), the month-to-date totals with your top three spending categories, your average daily spending over the previous 30 days, and the amount and usage of your monthly budgets.

We never send your name, your email address, the identifiers or names of your accounts, or any notes or descriptions you have written.

This data is sent only when each analysis or summary is generated; the result is saved to your account and is not sent again. Daily summaries are automatically deleted after 60 days. The analyses are for guidance only and do not constitute professional financial advice.

Retention and security

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted, and passwords are stored using hash functions designed for that purpose, never in plain text.

When you delete your account, we permanently delete from our database your profile together with all your transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, goals, analyses, settings, sessions and subscription data. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Billing records for your purchases are kept by Stripe, Google and Apple in their own systems, for the periods set by their policies and the tax regulations that apply to them; we cannot delete them. We automatically request the deletion of your customer record from RevenueCat. Technical error reports are automatically deleted from Sentry when their retention period expires.

Full details, including what happens to an active subscription, are available at Delete your account.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and request the deletion of your personal data at any time. You can delete your account and all your data directly from the App (tap your avatar → Account → Delete account), or by emailing us at support@fynq.site from your account’s email address if you would rather we handle it for you. More information at Delete your account.

You also have the right to obtain a copy of your data in a readable format: with the Basic plan you can export your movements from the App, and on any plan you can email us to request a copy of all your data.

We respect your decision to stop using FynQ. When you delete your account, your data will be permanently deleted from our servers, as described in section 6.

Updates

This Policy may be updated to reflect improvements in our privacy practices or changes in applicable regulations.

We will notify you of significant changes through the App. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
